Spots open for teen defensive driving class in Escanaba

ESCANABA, MI— Morning sessions are still available for the teen defensive driving school being held in Escanaba later this month.

Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post are hosting the class at the Midwest Truck Driving School June 28th through the 30th. It will be taught by specially trained troopers from across the U.P. and will highlight skills like evasive maneuvering and driving on slippery roads.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
