MARQUETTE, MI— A trooper from the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post has been named the Marquette County Law Enforcement Administrator’s Association’s Officer of the Year for 2024.
Trooper Mack Schlicht enlisted with the MSP in 2004 and was assigned to the Negaunee Post. Along with his other duties, he has served as an evidence technician, first aid instructor, and tobacco tax team member. He currently serves as a canine handler at the post.
Officials say Trooper Schlicht is proactive in traffic enforcement and criminal interdiction, and has excelled throughout his career in conducting thorough criminal investigations. They say he is a true asset not only to Negaunee Post, but to the other agencies of Marquette County, and has proven to be a true leader amongst his peers in the law enforcement community.
