Names in officer-involved shooting in Peshtigo released

PESHTIGO, WI— The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation continues to investigate an officer-involved shooting in Peshtigo on August 29.

Marinette County officers tried to stop a driver wanted in a suspicious Dane County death. The vehicle fled, leading police on a high-speed pursuit south on US-41. It eventually crashed near Schacht Road.

The driver, Andrew Collamore, 23, exited the vehicle and approached officers. Two sheriff’s deputies deployed a Taser, which was ineffective. Two officers with the City of Marinette Police Department shot Collamore with their firearms.

A sharp-edged weapon was located at the scene.

Collamore was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The officers who discharged their weapons are identified as Parker De Los Santos, who has 7 years in law enforcement, and Andrew Bonjean, who has 19 years in law enforcement. Both are on administrative duty, per agency policy.

DCI continues to review evidence and will submit a final report to the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office.
