Deputies, troopers block off roadway during unknown 'incident' in Skandia

SKANDIA TOWNSHIP, MI— A road in Skandia Township was blocked off Sunday morning during an incident that called in various law enforcement agencies.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook it was being assisted by the Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team at a residence off Carlshend Road. Though the incident was isolated to the house, Carlshend Road was blocked just north of County Road 456.

Around 11:42 a.m., deputies said the situation was resolved and a man was in custody. The road was reopened.

Officials say more information will be released once the subject is arraigned.
