New Iron Mountain MSP Post commander selected

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI— A new commander has been installed at the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post.

First Lieutenant Greg Primeau is originally from Calumet. He attended Suomi College and Northern Michigan University’s Regional Police Academy before joining the Meridian Township Police Department downstate. Primeau later enlisted with the MSP in July 2004 as a member of the 120th Trooper Recruit School.

Primeau has been assigned to the Iron Mountain Post since 2011 and most recently served there as a uniform sergeant. He has functioned as a Standardized Field Sobriety Test Instructor and a Drug Recognition Expert for several years.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
