Gold-Level Vet-Friendly School designation awarded to Bay College

ESCANABA, MI— Bay de Noc Community College has been recognized as a Gold-Level Veteran-Friendly School by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The designation honors institutions that set the standard in serving veterans, their dependents, and all military-connected learners. Gold status reflects an outstanding commitment to ensuring military-affiliated students have access to the resources, guidance, and support they need to thrive.

The Veteran-Friendly Schools Program provides veterans with a way to evaluate and compare participating Michigan colleges and universities based on their support services and opportunities. Status is determined through a committee review process that assesses each institution’s efforts to serve and empower student veterans.
