MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI— More resources have been brought to Marquette Township to assist in the search for a man missing in the area of Hogback Mountain.

Aaron McGeorge, 40, has not been seen since Monday. His vehicle was found Tuesday on County Road 550 near Hogback.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, Marquette County Search and Rescue and additional K-9s from the Michigan State Police and Alger County Sheriff’s Office continue to conduct ground searches in the area. The U.S. Air Force has coordinated the use of helicopters from the Coast Guard and Wisconsin Air National Guard for air searches.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to request the public stay away from the Hogback and Harlow Lake areas during the search. It will help reduce the time spent on K-9s tracking false scent trails and air units trying to identify people on the ground.

Anyone with information about Aaron McGeorge that may assist in the search is asked to call the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at

906-225-8441. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
