Body of missing WI woman found near Potato River Falls

IRON COUNTY, WI— A woman declared missing while hiking in Iron County, Wisconsin has been found dead.

Sheriff’s officials say the last contact from Kelsey Musgrove of Middleton, Wisconsin was on March 26th. She said she had reached the Potato River Falls in Gurney. Deputies found her vehicle in the falls parking area. A ground, air and water search involving 25 external agencies from Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota was launched.

Sunday around 11:25 a.m. Musgrove’s body was discovered in an area near the Potato River Falls.

An investigation into the cause of death is ongoing, but no foul play is suspected at this time.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
