Missing Trowbridge girl found safe

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI— Police have located a missing Marquette Township girl.

Davida Patrice Fortin, 11, was last seen leaving a residence in the Trowbridge Park area around 8:15 Wednesday morning.

The Marquette County Sheriff's Office was assisted in the search for Fortin by volunteers from Search and Rescue and the Marquette City Police Department.

Davida was found Wednesday afternoon and taken back to her family.

No other details about her disappearance were provided.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
