Hancock woman missing

HANCOCK, MI— The Hancock Police Department is asking the public for help in finding a missing woman.

Mary Ylitalo, 24, was last seen Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. on the 800 block of Ingot Street in Hancock.

She is 5’6” to 5’8” and 150 pounds with shoulder-length light brown hair. Ylitalo may have been wearing a red plaid coat.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call Hancock Police at 906-482-3102, or call 911.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
