Search goes on for missing Gulliver woman

MANISTIQUE, MI— Police and other agencies continue to search for a Schoolcraft County woman.

Kristen Terrian, 39, was reported missing on August 2. Michigan State Police from the Manistique Outpost and Gladstone Post say Terrian was last seen early that morning on Michibay Beach near the Manistique Township Park.

Troopers and detectives have been assisted by several agencies and specialty units since her disappearance. They include the Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Office, Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Aviation Unit, Delta County Sheriff’s Office, Delta County Search and Rescue Unit, Manistique Public Safety Department, Manistique Township Fire Department, Sault Tribal Police Department, MSP Marine Services Unit, MSP Canine Unit, and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Efforts are ongoing in different locations in Schoolcraft County to locate Terrian.

The Michigan State Police are thanking the public for continuing to provide tips to help locate Terrian. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts are asked to contact the Negaunee Regional Communications Center at 866-411-0018, the Manistique Outpost at 906-341-2102, or the Gladstone Post at 906-428-4412.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
