MENOMINEE COUNTY, MI— The body of a boater missing for weeks has been recovered in Marinette County.

Around noon this past Saturday a boater reported finding a body in the water near Green Island. The Marinette County Sheriff's Office and City of Marinette Fire Department responded and recovered the body. It was later identified as Billy Salnik.

The incident remains under investigation.
