Juvenile voluntarily missing from Alger County residence

ROCK RIVER TOWNSHIP, MI— Michigan State Police are asking the public for help in finding a juvenile who’s considered voluntarily missing.

Jayden Whittenberg, 15, reportedly left his foster residence on Pohjala Road in Rock River Township early Monday morning. Officials believe he’s trying to get to a home on Marquette Street in Ishpeming, but he hasn’t been found.

Jayden is described as a 5’9” 160-pound black male with brown eyes and a medium, afro-style haircut. It’s unknown what he was wearing when he left.

Jayden could be accompanied by an Irish Wolfhound.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
