Flagstar acknowledges conversion difficulties

MARQUETTE, MI--   Flagstar Bank says the conversion of 52 branches of Wells Fargo Bank to Flagstar over the weekend resulted in headaches for some of its customers.

Officials say most of the issues centered around access to flagstar.com, access to online banking, and debit cards either not received or not working. Those factors combined to create an overflow of calls to Flagstar’s customer service line, creating even more frustration.

The bank is working to correct online issues and has brought more people in to its call center. Officials are reversing any late or overdraft fees caused by the issues, and will deliver debit cards to customers within 24 to 48 hours of their request.

Those who had trouble logging in to Flagstar’s website can now go to Flagstar.com/welcome for more information.
