Tri County Safe Harbor gets $50,000 donation

ESCANABA, MI--   A domestic violence shelter serving Delta, Menominee and Schoolcraft counties has received a $50,000 donation.

Tri County Safe Harbor received the money from Greg and Linda Yagodzinski. It will supplement federal, local and state grant funding used to operate the 15-bed shelter in Escanaba.

Tri County Safe Harbor houses women and children who have been victims of intimate partner domestic violence and sexual assault and are in an unsafe situation. It also offers a 24-hour crisis line, advocacy, court support, transportation, assistance with personal protection orders and information and referrals to other agencies.

Those in need of services from Tri County Safe Harbor can call the 24/7 helpline at 906-789-1166 or go to their website, www.safe3c.com.
