UP farm receives funding for solar panels

MARQUETTE, MI— An Upper Peninsula agriculture producer has received funding from USDA Rural Development to invest in renewable energy.

Little Parsley Farm, LLC is getting more than $15,000 to install solar panels. The project is funded through the Rural Energy for America Program.

Officials say the program aims to help farms and rural small businesses make investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency to lower their costs, generate new income, and strengthen the resilience of their operation.
