MARQUETTE, MI-- The deadline to apply for a Michigan Home Heating Credit is approaching.
The Michigan Agency for Energy says low-income and senior residents who want assistance with their winter energy bills must apply for it by September 30. Customers must live in Michigan, must own or rent the home in which they live, and their income must fall within certain limits.
Officials say the average credit paid out in 2014 was $130.
