Time limits suspended for fuel trucks after pipeline outages

LANSING, MI (AP)--   Truckers transporting fuel in Michigan can spend more time on the road in response to pipeline interruptions in Wisconsin and Detroit.

Governor Rick Snyder declared an energy emergency Tuesday. He suspended state and federal rules related to limits on hours and days that a trucker can be on the road.

Snyder says a fuel pipeline in Wisconsin is down, and the Marathon refinery in Detroit has an unplanned outage. The order could last until 11:59 p.m. on June 6.

Patrick DeHaan, a senior petroleum analyst at GasBuddy.com, says there shouldn't be much impact in prices at the gas pump.
