MARQUETTE, MI-- Marquette is holding a scrap tire collection next week.
The city received a Scrap Tire Cleanup Program Grant from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and is partnering with the Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority for the event. Representatives will collect tires and haul them to the landfill for processing.
Residents can bring tires 22.5 inches in diameter and smaller to Lakeview Arena on Wednesday, August 2 from 3 to 7 p.m. Larger tires, tractor tires, or tires on split rims will not be accepted at this site.
