4th of July fun coming back to Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI--   Independence Day activities are returning to Marquette’s Mattson Lower Harbor Park this year.

The Marquette Area Fourth of July Committee says the Food Fest will run Saturday and Sunday, July 3^rd and 4^th, from noon until dusk. It will feature food vendors, a beer tent, entertainment, and kids’ activities.

The boat parade will take place in the Lower Harbor this year prior to the fireworks, and the fireworks display is planned for dusk on July 4^th. They’ll be pushed to the 5^th if it rains.
