MARQUETTE, MI— A winter parking ban is now in effect for the City of Marquette.
Until April 1st parking is prohibited on any city street between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.
The ban carries a $75 fine, and vehicles could be towed if they impede the snow removal efforts of plow crews.
The Marquette Police Department says vehicle owners should make off-street parking arrangements for their vehicles for the winter season as soon as possible.
