Marquette, MI - Northern Michigan University is hosting a welcome reception for incoming NMU President Chris Olsen and his wife, Jennifer next week. The reception will be held on Monday, November 10th, from 4:30-6 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Northern Center. Faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to attend.
Olsen will become NMU’s 19th president, effective January 1st.
Olsen has more than 20 years of higher education leadership experience. Most recently, he has served Indiana State University as provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. Before that, he was dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and chair of the Department of History at ISU.
