Schuette travels the U.P.

MARQUETTE, MI--   Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette made several stops on his tour of the U.P. Wednesday. 

The Republican read to a group of second-graders at Washington Elementary School in Sault Ste. Marie, talked about human trafficking at the Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain, and held his annual barbecue in Marquette.  Shuette also sat down with young journalists with 8-18 Media at the U.P. Children’s Museum for an interview.

Schuette then headed to the Detroit Regional Chamber’s annual policy conference on Mackinac Island, which runs through Friday morning.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
