Governor stumping in the U.P. for candidates

ESCANABA, MI--   Governor Rick Snyder will be in the Upper Peninsula Monday, campaigning for Republican candidates. 

At noon the governor will give remarks at a lunch at the Best Western Pioneer Inn in Escanaba in support of 108th House District candidate Beau LaFave.  They’ll be joined by Senator Tom Casperson and Representative Ed McBroom. 

At 1:30 p.m. the governor will talk about energy reform in the U.P. at Engineered Machine Products in Escanaba.  Jack Bergman, the Republican candidate for Michigan’s 1st Congressional District, will attend the event.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
