Marquette City Commission Candidate forum to be held Wednesday

MARQUETTE, MI--   The League of Women Voters is holding a Marquette City Commission candidate forum Wednesday. 

Eight candidates running for two open seats have been invited. They are Aaron Andres, Margaret Brumm, Jenn Hill, Matthew Luttenberger, Brian E. Miller, Mike Plourde, Jermey Ottaway, and Jenna Smith.

Marquette City residents will vote for their top two choices in the August 7 primary. The four candidates who receive the most votes will advance to the November 6 general election.

The forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Delta County, Marquette County Unit. It takes place Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Marquette City Commission chambers at Marquette City Hall.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
