Vice President Pence in MI to support candidates

WATERFORD, MI (MPRN)--   Vice President Mike Pence was in Michigan Monday, stumping for Republican candidates.

He was the keynote speaker at a rally in Waterford for congressional candidates Lena Epstein and Mike Bishop.

Pence put campaign matters aside for a moment to address Jewish Americans, in the wake of the murders of eleven people at a Pittsburgh synagogue.

“We are with you, our hearts break with you, and will never allow violence or antisemitism to take hold in the United States of America. Ever,” he said.

Mike Bishop is an incumbent running in the 8th Congressional District. Lena Epstein is running for the open seat in the 11th Congressional District.

The Vice President also attended a campaign event in Grand Rapids for gubernatorial candidate Bill Schuette and Senate candidate John James.
