HOWELL, MI (MPRN)— A group of protesters met President Joe Biden Tuesday on his way to a speaking appearance in Howell.

The Livingston County Republican Party and the local chapter of the group “Moms for Liberty” held what they call a “Stop the Spending Rally.”

Meghan Reckling is the Livingston County GOP chair. She says she has concerns about the infrastructure bills that are currently locked up in Congress.

"It's still a lot of money, $3.5 trillions, you know, trillion dollars is still a lot of money. My kids, my grand kids are still going to have to pay off that debt and it is going to impact everyday Americans, contrary to what the president said."

Biden came to town to promote his so-called “Build Back Better” infrastructure plan.

Hundreds showed up to the protest.
