Sara Cambensy decides to run for MI Senate

Sara Cambensy

MARQUETTE, MI— Another person has entered the race for the 38th District state Senate seat.
Sara Cambensy served as 109th District Representative as a Democrat from 2017 to 2022. She is running this race as an Independent.

Cambensy says she will work with Democrats and Republicans to solve problems and will be 100-percent beholden to the people of the Upper Peninsula.

She says her success in passing nine public acts over three terms while serving in the minority proves she can work with both parties to deliver results for her constituents.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
