MARQUETTE, MI-- Marquette General Hospital is holding a public forum to discuss plans for its new helicopter service.
Residents have expressed concern about the new ambulance service—its flight path and where it will land. Hospital officials say they’ve carefully assessed those details and will discuss them at the forum. Right now the landing zone is planned for a section of the current Neldberg Building parking lot, at the corner of College Avenue and Hebard Court.
The forum takes place Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the MGH Conference Center.
The new helicopter—an affiliation between Marquette General and Valley Med Flight—will provide 24/7 air ambulance service for the residents of the U.P.
