MARQUETTE, MI-- Northern Michigan University is moving all its summer orientation sessions online.
NMU will increase the number of first-year student and simultaneous parent sessions and offer others relevant to commuter and transfer students. The online format will also apply to the final orientation scheduled August 19, shortly before the fall semester kicks off.
NMU President Fritz Erickson says the prospect of large-group gatherings on campus doesn’t appear likely until closer to fall.
Students and parents who have already made orientation deposits will be contacted by email. They will have the choice of applying the amount to their fall tuition bill or receiving a refund.
