NMU students can get credit if they move off-campus early

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees has approved a motion to offer a credit to students who check out of their residence halls before April 3.

The credit totals $820 and includes a carryover of any Dining Dollars to next semester for those to choose to leave. They may also forgo the credit and stay on campus until the semester ends May 2.

The decision to offer the credit was made at a special meeting of the Board this week via Zoom technology.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
