Tele-town hall to address higher ed, skilled trades

LANSING, MI--   Governor Gretchen Whitmer and State Representative Sara Cambensy are holding a telephone town hall on higher education and skilled trades Tuesday.

Participants are encouraged to ask questions of their lawmakers. They can also share suggestions on how to make higher education more affordable and skills training more available.

Joining in on the call will be Joe Lubig, Associate Dean for Teacher Education and Director for the School of Education, Leadership and Public Service at Northern Michigan University.

The tele-town hall will be held Tuesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. Eastern, 5 p.m. Central.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
