Woman killed when vehicle hits mobile home in Menominee County

SPALDING TOWNSHIP, MI--   A Powers woman has been killed in a single-vehicle crash in Spalding Township.

Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post were dispatched Tuesday shortly before 3:00 a.m. to the intersection of County Road 563 and Tower Road. They say a vehicle driven by Natalie Dombrowski, 21, of Powers was eastbound on Tower Road at a high rate of speed when it left the road and hit a mobile home.

Dombrowski was transported from the scene so she could be airlifted to the hospital, but she died of her injuries before the helicopter arrived.

The owner of the mobile home was in the residence at the time of the crash but was uninjured.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
