Classiclectic Connection: Marquette Beer Choir, begins August 6

Marquette Beer Choir

Marquette is getting a Beer Choir.

Dr. Erin Colwitz (Director of Choirs at Northern Michigan University) is taking the choir experience to the pub, starting Tuesday, August 6th.

The Facebook page's description is as follows:

"Beer Choir Marquette exists for people of the community who love to sing and drink beer. All you have to do it is show up. Music and accompaniment will be provided. All are welcome!"

It's as simple as that; the Marquette Beer Choir meets the first Tuesday of every month at DIGS Gastropub from 7:30pm - 9:30pm. As of the end of July 2019, the online group has over 100 members.

More information available at the Marquette Beer Choir Facebook group.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
