LANSING, MI— The Department of Natural Resources says this weekend is “Three Free” Weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday residents can fish without a license. All other fishing regulations apply.

They can also ride the state’s 4,000 miles of designated routes and trails without buying an ORV license or trail permit.

And entry to state parks is also free this weekend. The DNR will waive the regular Recreation Passport entry fee that grants vehicle access to Michigan's 103 state parks, 1,300 state-managed boating access sites, and many other outdoor spaces.

More information is at www.michigan.gov/dnr.
