LANSING, MI— The Department of Natural Resources is looking for input on its draft recreation plan.
Over the past several months, the DNR has been compiling information about the state’s integrated system of federal, state, and local recreation assets. Now, it’s seeking comment on the five-year plan designed to evaluate outdoor recreation trends, needs, and issues and to establish priorities for achieving outdoor recreation goals.
Comment on the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan will be accepted through December 1. Public input on the draft will be used to develop the final plan, which will be submitted to the National Park Service by December 31.
Residents can review the plan on the DNR’s website. Comments and suggestions can be sent to dnr-scorp@michigan.gov.
