Parks and trails in 13 counties to share $1.9 million in Recreation Passport grant funding

(Undated) - Two Upper Peninsula communities are among 13 statewide that will receive DNR Recreation Passport grants for public recreation enhancement projects.

In Delta County, Ford River Township will receive $83,600 for Ford River Township Park improvements, and the Village of L’Anse in Baraga County will receive $150,000 for improvements to Meadowbrook Arena’s hockey boards and glass.

The Recreation Passport grant program – which has awarded just over $16.5 million statewide since its inception – is funded from 10% of Recreation Passport revenues.
