MARQUETTE, MI— The UP Disc Golf Association is hoping to complete construction of a course in Harvey through a crowdfunding campaign.

If the Patronicity campaign reaches its $36,000 goal by May 30th, the project will win a matching grant with funds through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Public Spaces Community Places program.

The money would cover the development, construction, and installation of a brand new 18-hole championship-level disc golf course across the Dead River from the existing Powder Mill Disc Golf Course. It will honor local disc golf legend, Buck Buchanan. The two courses will create the new Dead River Disc Golf Center.

More information is at www.patronicity.com/buck.
