CHASSELL TOWNSHIP, MI— A Chassell Township park will be renovated, thanks to money from the Department of Natural Resources-administered Spark Grants program.
Chassell Centennial Park is getting $495,000 to add accessible restrooms, pathways, and a boardwalk.
Michigan Spark Grants offer a path to reach people in communities whose economic opportunities and public health were most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The projects aim to improve people’s health, introduce new recreation experiences, build on existing park infrastructure, and make it easier for people to enjoy the outdoors.
