Most CopperDog events canceled, Gladstone hill shuts down

Adam Johnson | Brockit Inc.

CALUMET, MI— A lack of snow across the Upper Peninsula has canceled more winter activities.

The CopperDog 150, CopperDog 80, CopperDog 30, and CopperDog 15 have all been canceled. They were slated to take place March 1st through the 3rd in Calumet.

Officials say they will not put any dog’s safety in jeopardy because of bad trail conditions. The Copper Pull and Copper Dash will still be held.

A list of activities is available on the CopperDog Facebook page.

And the Gladstone Ski Hill is closed for the season. Any ski or tubing season memberships and gift certificates will be honored next year. Officials say no refunds will be given.
