Summer B.O.W. to be held May 31-June2 in Marquette County

BIG BAY, MI— Registration is now open for the summer Becoming an Outdoors Woman program in Marquette County.

Women 18 and older have an opportunity to improve their outdoor skills in a relaxed, noncompetitive atmosphere.

Sponsored by the Department of Natural Resources, the 27th annual event offers instruction in more than two dozen different types of activities, including kayaking, basic land navigation, shooting sports, outdoor photography, and backpacking.

The BOW takes place May 31st through June 2nd at Bay Cliff Health Camp. More information is at www.michigan.gov/bow.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
