LANSING, MI— Three Upper Peninsula projects will share in $2.6 million in Department of Natural Resources grants to boost recreational boating.
The money comes through the DNR Parks and Recreation Division’s waterways grant program. It provides matching funding to help support quality recreational boating infrastructure.
Gladstone was given $172,800 to renovate its marina. Houghton received $176,000 for restroom and shower facilities. And Clark Township got $15,000 for preliminary engineering of the Hessel marina.
Grants went to ten communities around the state.
