New shooting range to open in Ontonagon

ONTONAGON, MI— The Department of Natural Resources and Lake Superior Sportsman’s Club are celebrating the opening of a new shooting range in Ontonagon County.

A grand opening event will be held Saturday for the Porcupine Mountains Shooting Complex. An open house for the six-lane automated indoor shooting range will be held from noon to 5 p.m. It’s at 31433 West M-64, west of Ontonagon.

The range will be open to the public starting in January. The schedule of hours is still to be determined.
