Billerud allows for construction of new cross-country trail on its land in Dickinson County

DICKINSON COUNTY, MI— A new partnership between Billerud and the Dickinson Trail Network will expand opportunities for outdoor recreation.

The papermaker has provided access to several hundred acres of company-owned forestland near the Quinnesec Mill that enabled the construction of a new 2.5-mile cross-country trail loop branching off a Norway trail.

The new trail is called the Paper Jam. Officials say it will appeal to a wide variety of users, including mountain bikers, hikers, trail runners, cross-country skiers, and snowshoers.

The two organizations say they want to connect more people to Dickinson County's outdoor spaces while supporting continued access to the region's natural resources.
