NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI – The Negaunee Township Fire/Search & Rescue Department has scheduled a training exercise on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail next week.
The exercise will simulate the rescue and extraction of an injured trail user from a remote section of the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. As part of the department’s annual training program, the exercise is designed to provide responders with hands-on experience in trail-based emergency operations. The training will take place along the trail segment between the County Road 492/M-35 intersection and the Kalkaska Drive entrance to the Smith Construction quarry. Training takes place Monday, June 15th from 6pm to 8pm.
