Ski jumpers hitting the slope in Ishpeming

ISHPEMING, MI--   Preparations are set for the Ishpeming Ski Club’s 127th Annual Ski Jumping Tournament at the Suicide Hill Ski Bowl.  

Jumpers from Finland, Norway, the U.S., Canada and Slovenia will compete in the event, which is the final competition in the Central Division Five Hill Tournament.  It features some of the best jumpers in the world.

Trial rounds begin Wednesday at 6 p-m, followed by competition jumping.  When jumping concludes spectators will be treated to a fireworks show.
