Ticket information announced for Kraft Hockeyville game in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Marquette Local Organizing Committee announced today ticket information for the upcoming Kraft Hockeyville game between the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes at Lakeview Arena, as well as information about events leading up to puck drop.

According to the release, nearly 60 percent of the tickets for both the pre-season game and the morning skate practice will be allocated to the Marquette community, with a small percentage set aside for surrounding communities that played a part in the town winning Kraft Hockeyville.

“We are thrilled to host an NHL Pre-Season Game and to celebrate our community with events that will excite and delight hockey fans of all ages,” said Doug Garrow, chairman of the Marquette Local Organizing Committee. “Our town rallied around its passion for hockey to help us become the second ever Kraft Hockeyville™ USA community and we can’t wait to showcase our arena on a national stage.”

About 30 percent of the tickets will be designated to arena-related groups including youth hockey teams and officials. The remainder will be reserved for those who donated or who have assisted Lakeview Arena.

Tickets to both the NHL preseason game and the Sabres vs. Hurricanes game day practice skate will be issued by public raffle, which is free to enter. Eligible entrants must complete and submit a ballot to the rink during one of these times:

Tuesday, Sept. 13, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET
Thursday, Sept. 15, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET
Wednesday, Sept. 21, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET

“Eligible entrants must show, at the time of ballot submission, one (1) piece of documentation demonstrating that they are a resident of Michigan, and proof of being at least 18 years of age on the date of entry.”

When entering, fans will select a preference of game or game day practice – preference is not guaranteed and will be honored as ticket quantities allow.
