Game time getting close for Hockeyville

MARQUETTE, MI--   Activities and excitement are ramping up leading to the Kraft Hockeyville USA 2016 preseason game between the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes at Marquette’s Lakeview Arena

Tuesday.

On Sunday morning USA Hockey held youth clinics at Lakeview.  That afternoon Northern Michigan University held a fun fair at the Superior Dome.  It featured the Stanley Cup, which is in town for the occasion.

On Monday morning nearly 1,000 Marquette Senior High School students will pack 285,000 hunger relief meals at the Kraft Heinz Stop Hunger Now meal packing event at MSHS.  At 6 p.m. a parade will start at Pine Street and Fair Avenue and make its way down Third Street to the Marquette Commons.  A cookout at the Commons follows at 7 p.m.

For more information, visit the Lakeview Arena page on Facebook.
