NMU hockey game postponed

MARQUETTE, MI— The Northern Michigan University Department of Athletics has announced the home hockey game against Michigan Tech scheduled for Friday, January 21, has been rescheduled.

Officials say the game is postponed until Sunday due to health and safety guidelines.

The Wildcats and Huskies will play in Houghton on Saturday at 6:07 p.m. as originally scheduled, but the teams will now wrap up the home-and-home series in Marquette on Sunday at 6:07 p.m. at the Berry Events Center.

All tickets purchased for Friday will transfer to Sunday, January 23. Requests to receive a refund will be honored up to 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 22. Email refund requests to tickets@nmu.edu, in person during business hours, or by calling 906-487-1032.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
