MARQUETTE, MI— This year’s Noquemanon Ski Marathon will feature adaptive races.

The 25th Annual event is holding the usual 50- , 25- , and

12-k races, but will also hold races for people with disabilities to compete in either a stand-up or sit-ski division.

Race officials say they’re expecting a large number of adaptive skiers from across the Upper Peninsula.

The Noquemanon takes place Friday and Saturday around Marquette County. More information about the events is at www.noquemanon.com.

Officials say volunteers for various tasks are needed. Available slots can be found at www.yoopersunited.com. Volunteers can also call 866-370-RACE or email noquemanoninfo@gmail.com for more information.
